The Problem

  • Limited Online Presence: THEZEEBRAND, a fashion and beauty outfit for women aged 16-50, lacked an ecommerce platform, relying heavily on social media channels for sales, which led to customer trust issues and low conversion rates.

  • Insecure Payments: Customers were hesitant to make payments through transfers due to fear of fraud and wanted a secure card payment system.

  • Lack of Consultation Options: There was no easy way for customers to book consultations or speak with stylists when making purchase decisions, resulting in lost sales.

Research

We conducted a survey with 10 target users, primarily women aged 16-50, to understand their online shopping behavior, pain points, and preferences. Observations revealed that 80% of users were afraid of using non-debit card payment methods, and 90% preferred purchasing outfits from a dedicated online store rather than through social media platforms.

Findings from Research

  • Payment Security Concerns: Users wanted a secure, trusted payment method to avoid fraudulent activities.

  • Need for Detailed Product Information: Customers desired clear, concise descriptions of products to make informed purchase decisions.

  • Consultation Requirement: Many users needed the ability to chat with a stylist to help with outfit choices.

We mapped the key tasks users would follow to ensure a seamless shopping experience:

  • Selecting an Outfit: Users browse through categorized products to find outfits that match their needs.

  • Viewing Product Details: Users check detailed descriptions, pricing, and options like sizes and colors.

  • Placing an Order: After selecting an outfit, users add it to their cart, choose payment options, and place the order.

  • Tracking the Order: Users can monitor their order status from placement to delivery through the order tracking system.

Solution

  • Ecommerce Platform: Designed a clean, easy-to-navigate ecommerce website that allows users to browse outfits, book consultations, and make purchases securely.

  • Chat with Stylist: Implemented a chat feature where users can connect with a stylist for guidance on choosing the right outfits.

  • Secure Payment System: Integrated trusted payment gateways for secure debit and credit card transactions, ensuring users can shop confidently.

  • Order Tracking: Created a detailed order tracking system to provide real-time updates on orders, reducing customer anxiety.

OUTCOME

The new ecommerce platform helped increase customer trust through secure payment options and clear product descriptions, leading to higher sales and improved customer satisfaction. Users now have a reliable way to book consultations with stylists, which enhances the shopping experience and helps reduce decision-making time. Overall, the project provided THEZEEBRAND with a solid digital presence, enabling them to serve their target audience more effectively and boost in-store and online sales.
