ALAT is Nigeria’s premier digital bank, known for being Africa’s first fully digital banking solution. I contributed to a design refresh and UX improvements that enhanced usability, ensuring that customers can easily navigate the platform for their banking needs.
ALAT for Business provides a streamlined online banking experience tailored for corporations. With my work on user experience, businesses can now self-integrate effortlessly through the web app or mobile app, making financial management simpler and more efficient.

Lack of Market Impact: ALAT for Business, despite the success of ALAT's digital banking, failed to make a strong impact in the business banking sector.
Web-Only Limitation: The platform was limited to a web-based service, restricting user accessibility and engagement.
Platform Revamp Needed: The business required a full revamp of the digital platform due to the migration to a new cloud service.

Research, iteration & design
I led discovery sessionS with stakeholders and product owners to align business objectives with user satisfaction. This session focused on understanding the users' experiences, pain points, and business needs. A survey was also conducted by product owners, gathering insights from customers and relationship managers regarding their experience on the old platform.
Additionally, a competitive analysis of leading generation banks both locally and globally was carried out. This allowed us to draw inspiration for seamless onboarding, payments, and loans integration, aiming to enhance the UI/UX of ALAT for Business.

The primary users identified were business owners and corporate entities. A user flow was created to map out the onboarding process and key banking activities such as transfers, airtime purchases, and loans. This flow ensured the new design addressed both user needs and business requirements.
The design process included wireframing and usability testing with relationship managers and business development managers, focusing on the layout and user interface of account dashboards and navigation flow.

The Alat apps I worked on have gathered over 2M+ downloads across platforms.
Through user testing and collaboration across multiple teams, the revamped ALAT for Business app addressed critical user pain points and aligned with business objectives.
Future iterations will continue to improve the platform, to cater to the needs of target customers. This project strengthened the team’s ability to iterate and collaborate effectively for continuous improvement
