I led the design of NativeTalk, a cloud-based phone system tackling connectivity challenges for remote teams. My goal was to create an intuitive experience that allows users to connect seamlessly from any device.

I focused on enhancing communication with features like ghost numbers, video calls, and messaging, prioritising user-friendliness and flexibility. This user-centric approach helped NativeTalk meet diverse needs and stand out in a competitive market.

  • Global Communication Gaps: Individuals and businesses need flexible, cost-effective phone systems that allow them to communicate globally without relying on physical SIM cards or devices.

  • Common Complaints: Users often struggled with managing multiple devices and SIM cards for global communication.

  • Onboarding Delays: The onboarding process needed streamlining to reduce the time it took for customers to start using the service.

  • User Preferences: Flexibility and simplicity were key drivers for users, who wanted an intuitive experience that allowed them to switch devices seamlessly.

We identified two main user groups:

  1. Personal Users needed a simple interface to manage virtual phone numbers, make calls, and handle personal communication effortlessly.

  2. Business Users required a robust system to generate and manage business phone numbers, communicate with clients, and integrate with business tools.
